Our Commitment
At Kalkomey Enterprises, we are committed to ensuring that our websites and digital resources are accessible to all users. We recognize that achieving full accessibility is an ongoing journey and are actively working to enhance the accessibility of our sites — including kalkomey.com and our online learning platform — as well as implementing organization-wide changes to improve the usability and inclusivity of all our digital touchpoints.
Standards and Guidelines
Our target for conformance is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Levels A & AA, the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility. For digital products and services delivered through government agency partnerships, we also work toward conformance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. Our technologies are partially conformant, meaning some parts do not yet fully conform to these standards.
Ongoing Efforts
We are actively working to ensure our digital content and services are accessible to everyone, including:
- Policy and process changes: We are implementing new accessibility policies and processes at all levels of our organization to support inclusive digital experiences.
- Education: We provide training to support our digital teams, ensuring accessibility concepts are understood and applied consistently across design, development, and content creation.
- Regular audits and remediation: We test our websites using both automated tools and manual evaluations to identify accessibility barriers and prioritize their remediation.
- VPAT assessments: We conduct Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) assessments to formally evaluate our products against WCAG and Section 508 standards, track conformance gaps, and guide ongoing improvements.
- Accessibility in procurement: Before adopting any third-party digital product or service, we evaluate it for accessibility — including reviewing vendor VPATs, applying structured scoring criteria, and requiring accessibility conformance in contract language.
- User feedback: We actively welcome feedback from users with disabilities to inform our improvements and validate changes.
